Dr. Rubén Anguiano is an equine veterinarian, researcher, and educator with a lifelong dedication to animal health. Raised in rural Comala, Colima, Mexico, he developed an early passion for caring for animals that inspired his veterinary career. He earned his veterinary degree from the University of Guadalajara and later completed a master’s degree with a specialization in equine medicine at the University of Michigan.
Dr. Anguiano has combined clinical practice, research, and teaching throughout his career, contributing to advancements in the study and treatment of equine diseases, including equine colic. As a professor and researcher at the University of Guadalajara (CUCBA), he has mentored more than 40 generations of veterinary students. He is a former President of the Mexican Association of Equine Veterinarians and recipient of its Mérito Gremial (Professional Merit Award).
