Past President As WEVA Past President, Gary was first appointed to WEVA Board in 2001. He is also a Past President of the American Association of Equine Practitioners (AAEP) and Past President and founding member of the Texas Equine Veterinary Association (TEVA). Gary was Louisiana Equine Veterinarian of the Year in 1980 and Chairman of Louisiana Veterinary Medical Association (LVMA) Equine Committee. He was Captain in the US Army Veterinary Corps, serving in Vietnam, performing the first Pacification program in the Montagnard villages of the Central Highlands treating their sick cattle. Gary is currently enjoying being retired from working as a TB Racetrack Practitioner for 40 years.
